FBK KIDS MINISTRY ON-BOARDING PROCESS:

Requirements: 

1. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Must be an adult or middle school/high school student (age 12+) to SERVE with children. 
3. Must be attending FBK regularly and participating in worship & a small group.
4. Must be a FBK church member or in the process of becoming a church member in order to TEACH children.
5. On Sunday mornings, adult volunteers must be willing to serve on a MONTHLY rotation (odd or even months) with a volunteer team of 4 adults and available to sub for the volunteer team as needed. Commitment is a full year from August 2024 - August 2025.

As a member of the FBK Kids Ministry Team you will have a unique opportunity to help disciple the Next Generation… all while having FUN at church!  We take serving the children seriously and we trust you will appreciate the process we have in place to make sure we have qualified volunteers working with children.  The process to become a Kids Ministry volunteer is easy:

CONVERSATION

• A brief interview with the FBK Kids Ministry Director (Stephanie Noel)

OBSERVATION

• Observe in the ministry environment that you are interested in

APPLICATION

• Complete the Kids Ministry Volunteer Application and Covenant (attached)

EDUCATION

• Complete the Child Safety Training. It is completed by the volunteer in a timely manner every 2 years online.
  • STEP 1 | CLICK  LINK  to Background Check
  • STEP 2 | Complete the "Child Abuse Awareness" video training & quiz through Protect My Ministry which you will receive via a separate email. Note: Must complete within 14 days or it will expire.
  • STEP 3 | On the job training with an experienced volunteer and the FBK Kids Ministry Director (Stephanie Noel).

• You are officially on mission in the FBK Kids Ministry!

Awana Club | Wednesday at 6:30p-8:00p  (Sept - May)

Volunteers needed for the following Awana classes:

• PUGGLES (2 to 3 yrs old) recognizes the learning ability of 2 and 3 year olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Note: Child must be 2 by September 1 of the current club year.
• CUBBIES (3 to 5 yrs old) celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.
• SPARKS (K to 2nd Grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
• TRUTH AND TRAINING (3rd to 6th Grade) engages the children by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ’s grace.
• AWANA GAME TEAM for age 3 - 6th grade.
