What is the Dedication of Homes?
We are defining milestones as significant moments in the life journey of a parent and a child that offer unique opportunities to reinforce truth and celebrate a growing relationship with God. We are committed to equipping and resourcing parents to capitalize on these key transitions for their child’s benefit as well as their own.

Bringing a child into today’s world is an overwhelming responsibility for parents. Preparing your child to face tomorrow’s world while meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs is tough. In fact, it’s just too tough to handle without the love, wisdom, and guidance of our own loving Father. Our church also recognizes our responsibility in helping to shape your child’s development. We have created several milestone celebrations as your child grows in their faith and matures, and you are ready to experience the very first one – “Dedication of Homes”.

During the “Dedication of Homes” milestone experience we, as your church, covenant together with you and your family to share the responsibility of providing Christian development to you and your children. As parents, you will be committing yourselves to bring up your child in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Sunday, March 1st, 2026, FBK will conduct a “Dedication of Homes” service at the beginning of the 11:00A morning worship service at our Eastmont Campus. We would like to invite your family to participate in this awesome milestone event if you have not been a part of this type of service before.

In preparation for this public commitment, we will have a Dedication of Homes Parent Class Breakfast on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 from 9:30 - 10:30A in the Fellowship Hall. Childcare will be provided (please register children needing care). During this parent class & breakfast, facilitators will discuss the spiritual development of your child and what this commitment really means. Scriptures used in the class include Deuteronomy 6:1-9, Ephesians 5:22-23, Romans 8:32, Judges 13:8, and Psalm 127:4.

Also, in the parent class, we will share with you helpful information about future  milestones you will be walking through with your child. We ask you to prayerfully consider this opportunity to make a public beginning to the spiritual growth process in your family.
